Highlights From Savour!’S 1st Sustainability Webinar On 5 Dec 2020


Thank you all for joining us for Savour!’s 1st ever environmental sustainability webinar on 5th December 2020, 12.45pm to 2.15pm! We are happy to have over 30 event participants who signed up and took the time out on a Saturday afternoon to join us on Zoom and Facebook Live to watch and follow along live workshop demonstrations by our 2 program hosts, Java Eco Project and The Eco-Statement.

Kexin from the Savour! Team was the emcee for the event and kicked off the webinar by introducing what is Savour! and conducted a mini-game segment on Kahoot relating to the workshop topics and Savour!’s platform. 3 lucky winners with the highest Kahoot scores walked away with a $10 Savour! e-voucher each to use on Savour!’s platform.

Moving on to the key segment by the 1st program host, Sangeeta Nair, Founder of The Eco-Statement. She gave an insightful sharing about her social enterprise. Which is then followed by a step by step 30 minute live demonstration on how to reduce food waste through making Eco Enzyme fermentation with common household ingredients.

In the second key segment by the 2nd program host, Rinka Perez, Founder & Company Director of Java Eco Project, and her volunteer, Amber, shared about the inspiring story behind her social enterprise.

She then dived into running through how to make reusable masks with clothes you no longer want in the comfort of your home in 30 minutes’ time. It is a simple upcycling project that came just right in time during this pandemic period.
