Brighton Connection - CNY Fundraiser Distribution Update
After successfully raising funds for our Chinese New Year initiative, we are excited to share with you how we used the funds for making Chinese New Year special and memorable for our beneficiaries at Brighton Connection.
By now, you probably know what Brighton Connection is but if not, we got you covered.
Brighton Connection is a non-profit Social Service Agency and registered charity, recognized as an institution of Public Character (IPC) since May 2017. Using a holistic community approach, they render assistance to children, families and seniors through their social development initiatives and empowerment schemes.
With the $3,160 dollars raised, Savour!’s team visited Brighton Connection’s headquarters last week to distribute Savour! gift bags with pre-packed Yusheng and razor clams.
These gift bags were distributed to 60 beneficiaries- 45 students from Brighton Connection Student Care Centre and 15 Seniors from their Seniors’ Empowerment Programme.
Fiona Tng, Deputy Director (Youth), Brighton Connection, expressed her gratitude to all the donors and Savour! for organizing this and helping the less privileged have a wonderful Chinese New Year with their loved ones, with the Yusheng and razor clams.
According to Fiona, every year, beneficiaries at Brighton used to celebrate Chinese New Year by going for CNY dinner but due to the pandemic this wasn’t possible this year. However, Savour! and the donors managed to pull it off for the beneficiaries even during the tough times.
“We are really thankful that Savour! Is giving us this platform to raise funds as well as for blessing us with the Yusheng and Razor Clams.” - Fiona Tng, Deputy Director (Youth), Brighton Connection

Savour! sincerely hopes to make this year's Chinese New Year a bit more special for our charity partners Brighton connection and Bethel Community Services and their beneficiaries, with this initiative.
